WALWORTH FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1
NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION
SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Walworth Fire District No. 1, Towns of Walworth and Macedon, Wayne County, Walworth, New York, at a meeting held on the 12th day of April 2012 duly adopted a Resolution subject to a permissive referendum, an abstract of which is as follows:
The Resolution authorized the Commissioners of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 to appropriate from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund a sum not to exceed $35,000.00 which is the maximum cost for the renovation of the parking area and main entrance of the Walworth Fire Hall. The Board of Fire Commissioners is of the opinion that the parking lot needs to be paved and surrounding areas landscaped; as well as the main entrance exterior entryway needs to be renovated with appropriate sidewalks, parking spaces, signage and landscaping.The expenditure for this project is the purpose for which such Capital Improvement Reserve Fund was established.
That this Resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days after its adoption, or until approved by an affirmative vote of the majority of the duly qualified voting electors of this Fire District if a petition, as prescribed by Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law, is duly filed with the Secretary of this District protesting against such Resolution and requesting a referendum as is prescribed in said section of said law.
